5.0 out of 5 stars 低音の魅力と迫力、「ニュー鬼束」の誕生, 2002/12/15
　前作『This Armor』ではちょっとばかり物足りないように感じられた低音部の再現性も、今回はバッチリです。羽毛田氏のピアノをメインとした最低限の伴奏が最大限の効果を発揮して、鬼束さんの、優しさの中にも迫力のあるあの魅力的な濃厚さを持ったヴォーカルを、一層引き立てています。それはたとえば、アルバム中で唯一ロック・テイストの「Tiger in my Love」に顕著でしょう。そこいらのチャカチャカ・ロックとは格が違う低音の響きとその比類の無い迫力は、それこそ一聴必殺間違いなしです。
　また、8cmCDだけに収録されているバージョンの「Castle・imitation」はこれまでに無い勇壮な曲調で、聴く度に気持ちが鼓舞されるような、素直に「良いな」と思える曲。

　アルバム全体を通したトーンはどこか優しい雰囲気に満ちているようにも思えますが、どっこい歌詞は相変わらずの、いやむしろさらにパワーアップした感さえある鬼束ワールド全開です。彼女の歌を「癒し系」などと言う人たちがいるみたいですが、もし仮に（事実として）そうであるなら、強いて言えばそれは「毒をもって毒を制す」タイプなのかもしれません。歌詞同様、ヴォーカルにもさらに厚みと広がりが加わったような気がしますね。

　アルバム自体には９曲しか収録されていないので確かに物足りなさを感じもしますが、その分余計に（？）繰り返し聴き込むことができます。「量より質」を地で行っているこのアルバム。「シングル曲が一つも入っていないから今回はパス」なんて思っている人、「ニュー鬼束」の誕生に立ち会えないなんて勿体無い・・・。

初回限定番には8cmCDがついており、Castle・imitationが収録されている。個人的にはこっちのCastle・imitationが好き。「不完全な瞬きで綺麗なもの以外全てを消すのならこの眼を捨てよう」など直接的に表現されないからこそまっすぐに、そして痛切に響いてくる言葉がある。同じような問題を抱えたことのある人にしか伝わらないかもしれないという意味で、哲学的とも言える彼女の言葉はもはや「癒し」などという次元をはるかに超越している。彼女自身の魂が凄まじい勢いで迫ってくる、他に類を見ないアルバムである。

先日のUltimate clash02の公演で
このアルバムに収録される曲を数曲
ライブで聞きましたがTiger in my love
などは、一瞬いままでのどんなアーティスト
にも感じられなかったような凶暴性すら
感じさせられるド迫力の絶唱を体験して
この人はほんとうに本物だとさらに実感
しました。そのほかの収録予定の漂流の羽
、castle imitationはもちろんのこと

そのほかの曲名のわからない曲も絶品でした
こんどのアルバムは1stの時のような
衝撃度120％の作品になると思います
それでいてyumingの守ってあげたいのカバー
なども歌えるからすごい！
優しさや包容力のような要素はまた
凶暴性などと同居しているからこそ
その力が発揮されるのだと思いました
まさに悪魔か天使か？って印象をうけました
