Keali'iさんのアルバムの中でも一番日本人うけするアルバムだと思います。Ka　Nohona Pili Kaiはビギンが作った涙そうそうに感銘を受けた彼がHawaiianにアレンジして　自分の祖母との思い出を書いた曲です。アルバムの写真には祖母の家、すなわちKeali'iさんが小さい時過ごした家の写真や家族の写真が沢山詰まっています。
このアルバムは全体的にスローな曲が多く　ゆったりとした時間の流れを感じます。

このアルバムの日本語の解説にもありましたが、ケアリイ自身はデビューアルバム「カワイプナヘレ」がこれまで一番好きだったそうですが、これはそれを超える新しい「カワイプナヘレ」になるだろうと言っていたそうです。聞いてみて、それを実感しました。祖国ハワイへの愛、家族への愛（特に精神的影響の大きかった祖母について）がじーんと伝わって来ます。観光地ハワイとしての良さとは違う、故郷としてのハワイの素晴らしさが感じられました。家系を伝えるためのチャントに始まり、（ハワイ語は文字がなかったため、口承で家系も伝えたそうです。ご先祖を身近に感じたいとき、ご先祖の力を借りたいときチャントを唱えるのだそうです。）ハワイアンのトラディショナルソングもあり、もちろんポップス曲のカバーを歌っても素敵な歌声で、ケアリイの健在さをアピールしていました。10代の頃、フラを習うことを親に反対されて家出をしたことなど、ケアリイの人となりを彷彿とさせるエピソードも日本語解説版には書かれており、是非日本版でそれを読まれるとアルバムの良さが深まると思います。

ALOHAの気持ちが伝わります。
Keali'i Reichel のＣＤいくつか今までのもの持っておりますが、
一番のおすすめです。
