   2001年発表のデビュー作『nu jazz』に続くセカンド作。前作もそうだったけど、多彩な選曲に驚かされる。タイトル曲はクール＆ザ・ギャング1975年のヒット曲で、ほかにアイズレー・ブラザーズ、プリンス、レッド・ホット・チリ・ペッパーズ、スパンダー・バレー、ケミストリー、ハービー・ハンコック、オーネット・コールマンと、ジャンルを越えた幅広いナンバーを独自の切り口で演奏していて壮観だ。オリジナルも5曲。分類的にはジャズ・ギタリストだが、元々はロック畑の出身で島谷ひとみ、畠山美由紀などJ-POPのアーティストとも共演するノンジャンルの人だけに、そのサウンドは固定観念にとらわれず自由奔放。その結果、ジャズをベースにしながらも、そこにはあらゆる音楽の要素が混入していて、そのあたりいかにも21世紀のアーティストという気がする。しかもギターの腕前が抜群、カッティングもカッコいい。人によって好きな曲は分かれるだろうけど、個人的にはオルガンを加えたブルージーな演奏に魅了された。（市川正二）

アリーア、レッチリ、プリンス、スパンダー・バレエらのカヴァーに自作をちりばめた新進のジャズだが、山下達郎の世界をつい連想してしまう。多数決なら今回の方向性は多分圧倒的に支持されそうだが、まっさらな前作の方がはるかによかった。テクニカルになって平たくなったのが残念。

1枚目よりクオリティが上がっている！サイドもよく固まっていて、オルガン、タイトなドラムも安心して聴ける。それどころか聴き入ってしまう。
彼のオリジナルナンバーとカヴァー曲が程よく配置されていて、JAZZファンならずとも十分に楽しめる。
ギタープレイは年輪を重ね、今後どんな深みを増すのか、彼の40代、50代に期待でいっぱい！

よく晴れた日に、ドライブしながら聴きたいアルバムです。

若い新人ギタリストと言われているものの、実際聴いてみるとあまりに渋いプレイに圧倒される。しかしアドリブにおける感覚は非常に斬新で、今までにないプレイを聴かせてくれる。何より、上手さ以上に聴くものを引き付ける何かを持っているギタリスト。
