れっきとしたイアン・フレミングの原作でありながら、唯一、コロムビア映画が版権を持っていたためにショーン・コネリーの００７とはまるで正反対のパロディ仕立てにしてしまった異端の００７映画、その映画
のサントラ版ですが音楽が御機嫌なバート・バカラックと言うのが最高です。タイトルはハーブアルバートとティファナブラスの演奏で軽快な

ラテンのリズムが耳に残ります。なんといってもこのアルバムの売りは
「恋の面影」でしょう。これはとてもロマンチックで綺麗なメロディが

最高の音楽でボーカルとインストルメンタルの２パターンが入ってます。他の劇中曲も素敵で綺麗な美しい曲が多く、これは珠玉の一枚となる事、間違いなし。本家の００７とは違うのでかっこいい曲は期待しない方がいいでしょう。こちらはシャレた音楽でいっぱいですよ。

　この10年位はサントラは単にコンピレーション作品となってるが、以前は作曲家の力量と映画の出来とのバランスが見所のの興味深いジャンルだった。
　「Casino　Royale」は映画自体が007物のかなりお洒落なパロディで、豪華オールスター・キャストでじっくり作ったお馬鹿大作だ。映画も是非見てください。
　さて音楽は「バート・バカラック」！当然Austin Powersはこれをぱくってバカラックを使ってるのだと思うが、まず音楽そのものの出来が素晴らしい。

ヒット曲となるキャッチーな曲をしっかり入れてあるし、その他の劇伴音楽も全て映画のシーンが頭に無くても十分楽しめるレベルだ。オーケストレーションが大作映画にありがちな壮大な感じではなく、映画の作風にマッチした遊び心一杯のポップな感じで、カフェのBGMにだって使えるでしょう。

　これはバカラックの作品としてもかなり高く評価されてる作品で、オリジナルのレコードはプレミア物だった。（ジャケットもサイケで最高にお洒落）
