富江シリーズには何度もガッカリさせられて来たので
期待せずに最初はレンタルで見たのだが、即DVDを買ってしまった。
今までの映画版富江は妙にクソ真面目で堅く、原作の気味悪いが
どこかコミカルなキャラクターや不条理な展開がまったく描けて
おらず、富江の設定だけ借りて来たまったく別物のホラーに

仕上がっていたが、今回やっと「伊藤潤二漫画の実写化」を見た
ような気がした。原作の独特なテンションを再現したという点では、
狙い過ぎてはずしてしまっている「うずまき」よりもずっといい出来。
また、富江役の安藤希が多少幼いながらも原作に非常に近い雰囲気で、
ベッドに寝転んで本を読んでいる姿などは原作をそのまま切り取って

来たようで思わずドキッとしてしまった。
ただ、映画としては多少盛り上がりに欠けるので原作ファン以外には
あえてお勧めしない。

演技をこれから学んでいくこれからの若手女優を使って、よくぞこの妖艶な雰囲気を醸し出せたものだ。感心する。
これは映画「櫻の園」などで実力を示す中原俊監督によるものか、はたまた京極夏彦原作のアニメ「巷説百物語」でその実力をあますところなく示した藤岡美暢の脚本力によるものか。
このレベルで「富江」が作れるなら、続編があっても良い。

富江が、貞子や他の何かでなく、富江として描かれていました！これは、マンガの雰囲気を良く出してると思います。ですが、凄まじい増殖など派手なシーンはなくて、女の子2人の会話シーンが多い地味な映画です。テンポもちょっと遅いです。もう少しテンポにメリハリを付けて、予算をかけてクライマックスを大規模にしたなら、富江の映画として傑作になっていたかもしれません。惜しいですが、今までがちょっと酷すぎたので、最終章がこれで良かったです。メイキングも長過ぎず短すぎず、ちょうどいい長さで入っていました。
