5.0 out of 5 stars DEENらしい、やさしいアルバム。, 2004/10/2
このアルバムのテーマは『pray』＝「祈り」。世界では今、目を背けたくなる様な事件が多々起きています。そんな世界を歌という観点から平和に導けたら、という彼らの「祈り」が１枚のアルバムになりました。従来のDEENの作品と比べると少しだけ元気がありませんが、ライブでもとても盛り上がる５曲目をはじめ自然にリズムをとってしまう曲あり、かと思えば思いっきり「祈り」を全面に出している曲ありです。
オススメは壮大なイメージの８曲目、ちょっと色っぽい感じの１１曲目、大好きな曲です。全体的に聴いていて心が温かくなるアルバムです。

このアルバム、DEENの他のアルバムに比べ、ブラスの割合が高い気がします。１曲目のイントロでいきなりブラスが流れてきてちょっとビックリしましたが、大人っぽくていいと思います。ブラス嫌いの人なんてそうそういないと思いますが…。

バラードが多いのも、その｢大人っぽさ｣に拍車をかけてると思いました。

なかなか寝付けない夜、勉強や仕事で疲れたときなどに聴くと、すんごく癒されると思いますよ。もとい、DEENファンの人は、買って損じゃないでしょう。

「'need love」から約2年半ぶりのオリジナルアルバムということで期待大。AORという大人の雰囲気なロックをイメージしたアルバムのようです。初回限定版には「Christmas time」のアカペラバージョンが！ちなみにライブツアー初日に発売です！
