当初はメロなんだかヘヴィなんだかどっちかにしろって感じだったが聴くうちにかっこよさがわかってきた。
おすすめは１　２　１１曲目。
これでヴォーカル１人というのは信じ固いほどメロヴォイスとデスヴォイスの差があってナイスなバンド。

　最近ホラー映画のサントラに参加したり２ｎｄアルバムをリリースしたりと結構活動の目立って来ているIll Ninoだけど
　この１ｓｔアルバムも馬鹿にしちゃいけないよ。
　
　とにかく一曲目からダークでトライバルな感じに完全にやられたよ
　激しく唸るギター、それに加えて音をぶっ叩き込むベース、

　曲のあちらこちらに散りばめられたパーカッションのラテンサウンド
　全てが斬新でかっこ良くて唖然としちゃったよ。
　しかもVo.が以上に歌がうまいと来た！
　クリーンヴォイスとデスヴォイスをたった一人で使い分けてやがる！トンでもねえ男だ！！
　
　曲展開もほぼ予測不能でダークな曲かと思いきや

　コーラスで一気にメロディアスでキャッチーな曲にに変化したり
　逆に大人しい曲かなと思いきや一気にサウンドがへビィになったりVo.が吼えまくったりと
　とにかく最初から最後まで休む暇も無く自分達の音楽に引きずり込むと言った感じ。
　
　彼らは俗に「エキゾティックミクスチャー」と謳われているが

　なるほど、確かにあのパーカッションといいギタープレイヤーのパフォーマンスといい
　異国的風土は十分という程あるね。
　あと曲の所々にスパニッシュが入ってるけどあれもなかなか自分達の個性を引き立ててる感じがあって良いよね。
　なんか「俺達はここに居る」って感じが出てていいよ。

　このBonus Tracksエディションは彼等のライブソングや

　ソウルフライのカバーソングも入ってたりしててお勧めです。
　あとWhat Comes AroundとUnrealのスパニッシュバージョンも
　言葉が分からないと念仏みたいで怖いですけどなかなか良いです。

　メロディあり、ゴリゴリ感ありの１ｓｔもなかなかオススメですよ！

ILL NINOのデビューアルバムがこちら。
1曲目を聴いたときの衝撃は、もう凄まじかった。
なんだこのバンドって純粋に思った。
CDかけてまず流れてくる音は、SLIPKNOTと何ら変わらない王道的なデスミクスチャ。
「あー、こんなもんか」って思って聴いていた1分過ぎ。衝撃がやってくる。
何ともいえないラテン風ギターの音。エキゾチックな雰囲気漂うメロディ。

同時にクリスのボーカリングもクリア路線に。何とも面白い。
あのメタルとクラシックを融合したRHAPSODYを始めて聴いたときの事を
思い出しました。対に位置する楽曲の融合。未知との遭遇って感じで。

ありきたりな物真似バンドが増えてるけど、このバンドは突出した個性を放っている。

形式も面白いし、ボーカルもLININのチェスターなんかを思い出ちような、いい声を持ってる。
それに、まだ生半可とは言えどデスも歌いまわせるし、これからに期待せずにはいられないバンド。

音が面白いってことは、もう実証済。で、楽曲の方は、
上手にラテンサウンドをフィーチャーさせて綺麗に歌い上げることで

生み出される哀愁のメロディの面と、破壊的なギターとボーカルが生み出す
デスメタルっぽい面の2面性を持っている。

アルバムとして聴いてると、マンネリしてきて退屈になってくる時が
チラホラあったものの、今後の展開次第では、SLIPとタメ張れるような
大物になれるんじゃないかなーと、将来性を実に見せてくれたアルバムでした。
ちなみに、M-13の『WITH YOU』では綺麗なラテンチックな曲を聴かせてくれました。
これがまたいい。こういう曲を増やせば、もっとファン層も増えるし、
ノットの2番煎じといわれるってこともなくなるんじゃないかなと思いました。
