ミッシーと長年の共同プロデューサーであるティンバランドは、前作の鋭いビートを本作では控え目にしている。たとえば、前作収録の「Get Ur Freak On」にあったまばらなタブラのビートは消えている。それに代わり、<3>では踊りやすさこそ変わらないが、よりファンキーなグルーブとオールド・スクールからのサンプリングを、<5>ではレトロなサウンドを聴かせてくれる。また、メロウな R&B のバラード2曲や、ビヨンセとの素晴らしいデュエット<9>（友だちのなかから彼氏を選ぶための心得）も耳にできる。
鋭いビートを控えているからと言って、心配にはおよばない。アーティスティックな面でもリリックの面でもミッシーは手を抜いたりはしていない。疑うなら耳を傾けてみるがいい。重厚なシングル曲<2>の逆回転のサンプリングや、<10>のダークなシンセサウンド、それに、いつだって彼女の音楽にスパイスをきかせているX指定（未成年者禁止）すれすれのリリックに。（Caroline Butler, Amazon.co.uk）
