まだレビューがないとは信じられません！

ＤＣ最高峰のグラフィック（今でも十分きれい）、
一人でも十分楽しめるモード、
キャラそれぞれに物語があるし（ＥＤはあっけないけど（苦笑）
とにかく素晴らしいゲームです。
もちろん２も楽しみにしてます。

このソウルキャリバーの1番すごいと思う所はあのグラフィックだと思う!綺麗すぎます!グラフィックだけでいえば格ゲーのなかでもトップクラスだと思う 実際やってみても凄く楽しいですよ! 動きも声もよくできており、おまけ要素も充実しています ぜひ一度お試しを!
楽しめること間違いなし!

自分はアンソニーだったので、ＰＳは買いませんでしたが、ＤＣでアーケードの移植（いや、それ以上のクオリティー)された時には、別ゲームだ！と小躍りしたもんです。
ＰＳより後に出たハードで比較するのも間違っているとは思えますが、それでもＰＳ２のそこらの安ぼったいゲームと比べても遜色しないと言い切れます。

他のレビューでも大体書きたいことが書かれているので割愛しますが、ナムコのチャレンジ精神＆サービス精神がよく表れているゲームで、
１．徐々に増えていくキャラ。
２．おまけモードの豊富さ(個人的にはあの当時にオープニング編集というのには感動しました。）
３．音楽の壮大さ(これはこのゲームだけに限りませんが）
４．『釣りコン』で遊べる！ｗ
といったあたりが、ツボでした。

もっとも４で遊んだ人はあまりいなかったようですが…
でも、今で言えばＷｉｉリモコンの魁みたいな存在ですからね。
ＤＣ自体の売り上げが悪かったので、せっかくの名作ながら知名度が低くなってしまったのが残念です。

※現在Xbox360のマーケットプレイスで、購入できます。
さすがに「IV」と比べるのは酷ですが、当時の感動を再び味わえることでしょう。
