ピクロスは「お絵かきパズル」とも呼ばれ、
その魅力については私から改めて説明するまでもないでしょう。
本作でピクロスの魅力に取り付かれた私は
サターンやプレステでリリースされたピクロスを何作か購入しました。

しかし！
このマリオのピクロスほどの満足感は得られませんでした。
問題の質、ではなくその演出が異なります。
本作は石版をノミとトンカチで削っていく手法をとっており、
連続して”彫っていく”時は実に爽快です。

その後リリースされたものは爽快感がありませんでした。
「ピクロス」というパズルそのものが好きだと思っていた私は
軽いカルチャーショックを受けました。

演出って、結構大事です。
据え置き機でピクロスを探している方であれば
本作を当方は強く推奨します。

そろそろGBAにも移植してほしいですね‥
（GB版はあるようですが）

マリオといっても、マリオにとらわれていません。一般的なイラストが問題になってたりします。パズルなので頭を使います。じれったいのが嫌いでパッパと進みたい方にとっては向いてないかもしれません。
この形式のパズルをやったことがない方は多いのではないか、と感じますが、すぐにやり方も覚えられます。

面をクリアした後また同じパズルを解くこともできますが、答えが分かってしまってるので、クリアする楽しさも減ります。何度も繰り返し遊べるソフトとはいえない気がします。

いまや知らない人はいないであろう、スーパーマリオ。いろいろなジャンルで登場していますが今回はパズルゲームでの登場です。その名も「ピクロス」。縦、横に並んだ数字にあわせてブロックを塗りつぶしてゆく、とても高度な頭脳的プレイが要供されます。すごく難しいし、単純だけどはまってしまったらもう抜け出せないですよ！！
