　ジョン・レノンのハッピー・クリスマス。ポール・マッカートニーのワンダフル・クリスマス・タイム。まず、この２曲が入っている事が嬉しいですね。
　ダイアナ・ロスのクリスマスの聖歌（オー・ホーリー・ナイト）と、ナット・キング・コールのザ・クリスマス・ソングは、完璧な作品で心打たれます。

　特筆すべきは、ジャクソン５の「ママがサンタにキスをした」でしょう。少年マイケル・ジャクソンの歌声が聴けます。とってもいい曲。なのに、この曲の入ったＣＤが今までなかなか手に入らなかったんだ~。ファンには涙ものでしょうね。
　他にもいい曲がいろいろありますよ。全部で２４曲。聴きごたえありです。

このＣＤはかつて出されていたアルバムに一部曲目を加えているとはいえ、結果的にオムニバス版としては非常にバランス良いアルバムに仕上がっていると思います。
スタンダード「ママがサンタにキッスした」「レット・イット・スノウ」「赤鼻のトナカイ」といった曲目の数々に加え、オリジナル歌手によるヒットソング、アーティストも一流のエンタテイナーを揃えてあります。↓の方はご不満のようですが、アルバム収録時間も全２４曲で７８分あり、価格も抑えてあるため（発売当時は１９８０円、現在プレミアがついているのは残念）、ファミリー向けとしては良心的に作られたアルバムと言えるのではないでしょうか。また、題名の解からなかったクリスマスソングを知る良い機会でもあるわけです。
個人的には、Ｊ−ＰＯＰＳのクリスマスアルバムとしては山下達郎の「シーズンズ・グリーティングス」、洋楽ではカーペンターズの「クリスマス・ポートレイト」が好みなのですが、このＣＤもオムニバス版として安心してお奨めできるアルバムの一つです。
なお、２４曲あるこのアルバムでの圧巻は、やはりラストを飾るＪ．レノンとヨーコの「ハッピー・クリスマス」でしょう。クリスマスを通して平和を訴えかける、彼のヴォーカルには人々を感動させる何かがあります。改めて銃弾に倒れた彼の死を思い知りました。

毎年この時期になるとこのようなオムニバスばかり・・・。クリスマスのみでなくＭＡＸのシリーズとか。もっと新しい事考えればいいのに・・・。まあ買う人がいるのでドンドン出すのでしょうが。
