   13人の仮面ライダーがバトル・ロワイアルを繰り広げ、生き残った者が望むものを手に入れるという設定のシリーズ。ミラーワールドに棲息する敵との戦いに、モンスターと契約しアタックポイントを設定したカードで勝敗を決めるなど、従来のライダー・シリーズにはなかった斬新なデザイン、破天荒な設定が賛否両論を巻き起こした。
   ライダー・バトルを止めようとする龍騎＝城戸真司と、恋人の生命を助けるために戦うナイト＝秋山蓮のコンビが人気を博したほか、変身前のライダーに扮した俳優たちも美形ぞろい。中でもかつてウルトラ・シリーズに出演した高野八誠、高槻純のふたりは、これで我が国の2大ヒーロー・シリーズを制覇した。
   ただしライダー・バトルとミラーワールドの秘密を握る神崎士郎と妹・優衣が物語の主軸になったことで、本来ライダー・シリーズの持ち味であった、個性豊かな怪人たちの描写が不足してしまったのは残念。（斉藤守彦）

平成ライダー５部作の３作目、それが仮面ライダー龍騎である。
ライダーＶＳライダーを基本とし、鏡の世界・ミラーワールドや
そこに住むミラーモンスター、カードバトルと言った新要素を取り入れ
人気を博した作品である。
何度でも言わせてもらおう。
特にカードバトルは番組人気に一役買い、関連商品も売れに売れた。

当初はマスコミも異世界やモンスター、カードと言った一見幼稚な
要素があるために「子供向けライダー」と酷評していたが、始まって
みれば「イケメンライダー」として多くの特集を組むという結末。
アギトに続き、かなりの数の主婦達を虜にした作品であると言える。
第一巻では偶然ライダーになってしまった城戸真司と

ライバル関係に発展する秋山蓮の共同戦線が主に描かれており、
一通りの世界観もこれ１本で理解できる仕様だ。
あなたの後ろの鏡には、あなた以外に誰か映っていないだろうか？
日本中の子供達を鏡恐怖症にさせた作品でもある。

一話目もかかさずみております！まさかこの年で特撮をまたみることになろうとはおもってませんでした^^;最近の下手なドラマなんぞ見るよりははるかに面白いと思いました！一話一話ごとにずるずると引きずり込まれ気づいたらはまってしまいました(笑)特撮だから子供の見るものと決め付けずに一度みてもらいたい作品だと思います！というか子供むけでないような・・・
百聞は一見に如かずという作品です！
