ご機嫌な篁氏のギターと、元聖飢魔IIの石川氏とはまた違ったＢＡＳＳの
ＭＡＳＡＫＩ氏、力強い中でもタンタンと軽快な湯澤氏のドラムが揃って
聴きやすいロックな仕上がりとなっています。
２曲目の「１０８」はＴＶのＥＤにもなっていて、サビの部分が耳に残り
やすいですし、かと思えば５曲目の「It's a fine day」は朝のまどろみ

にも似たゆったりとした曲もあり、一枚のアルバムの中に色々な篁氏の
可能性が詰まっている感じがしました。

ただ、気になるのは、Vocalとしての篁氏の「声」です。
ステレオで聞くと「音」にかき消されがちな感が否めません。
柔らかく、ストレートな高音なのでロック系では少し不利かな、と思います。

なので、篁氏の声をじっくり聴きたい方は是非、ヘッドホンのご用意を。

記念すべきCANTAのデビューアルバムです。
そうは言ってもベテランの3人が奏でる音楽の素晴らしさは
いうまでもありません。
それに加えて鋭い歌詞が印象的です。

特に3曲目と5曲目は、現代の混沌とした世の中が表現されています。
6曲目、7曲目は、誰の中にも潜んでいるような気持ち歌っています。

ちょっと残念なのが、ボーカルの音量が小さいこと。
それ以外は文句なしの一枚だと思います。
（しかしながら2ndアルバムと聴き比べてみれば分かりますが、
　2ndアルバムではボーカルがとても進化しています。）

是非一度、そんなCANTAワールドの音楽に浸ってみてください。

CANTA作品のなかで一番最後にこれを購入したので、後の2作品と比較して聴くと、CANTAの成長ぶりがよくわかります。

もともと名プレイヤーであるギタリスト・ルーク篁、ベーシスト・MASAKI、ドラマー・雷電湯澤各氏の持ち味が充分生かされて料理されたオードブルのような作品。
１、７のようなハードな曲があるかと思えば、５、８のようなファンタスティックで甘いヴォーカルの聴ける曲もある。

「作家はデビュー作に向かって進化する」という言葉もありますが、他の２作品と比べると一番曲目がバラエティに富んでいると思います。
ジャケットも凝っていて素敵です。

CANTAに興味のある方は、一番最後にこのアルバムを聴いてみることをおすすめします。
