　かつてここまでバロックのスタイルを貫き通した演奏家がいただろうか？間違いなく、この音源はこれまでの最高のC.P.E.バッハの演奏である。おそらくかなりの時間をかけてこの曲を研究してきたのであろう、フレージングや装飾音符のつけ方そして音色、どれをとっても申し分ない。
　とくに一枚目の無伴奏ソナタは圧巻である。ガロワのご自慢の紫檀製の木製フルートで、あるときは素朴に、そしてあるときは情熱的に一曲一曲を歌い上げている。そこにはお父さんであるJ.S.バッハの音楽とはまた違った、爽快感や感銘を受けることができる。
　フルートが好きな人にもフルートを専門的にしている人にもぜひ聴いてもらいたい一枚である。
