０２年の全米ピアノソロツアーの模様を収録。バックバンドが居ない分、ベンのピアノをたっぷり堪能できます。観客をコーラスで参加させたり、シンプルさを逆手にとった演出も秀逸。ＢＦ５時代の曲が約半数、エルトン・ジョンのTiny Dancerのカヴァーも入ってます。ＢＦ５の３ｒｄアルバムはホーンやストリングスに馴染めなかったけど、改めてこのソロライヴで聴くと曲の良さが再発見できます。米盤初回のみ３５分のライヴＤＶＤのオマケ付き。ＣＤには未収録のSong For The Dumped他が入ってます。それでこの値段は絶対お徳！昨年のバックバンドを従えてのソロの曲中心のライヴも最高でしたが、是非こんな感じのライヴを日本でもやって欲しいところ。今から次のアルバムが楽しみ。

ライブ盤はBenのピアノの上手さを本当に引き立てていますね。これまで発表されてきた楽曲がさらに爽やかに、時にはより荒々しくうねるようにプレイされていて、心地よく聞きほれてしまいました。何だか自分もライブ会場にいるような気分の高揚を味わえます。
ただし付属のDVD、うちのプレーヤーでは「地域制限」ってやつで見ることができませんでした。「Zak and sara」をCMソングに使ってるメーカーのやつですけど…しくしく。

ベンフォールズファイブ時代の曲も、もちろん今の曲もまんべんなく入ったベストな選曲と、ピアノのみ、といういさぎよい編成で彼らしい世界を作り上げていると思います。観客をコントロールしてコーラスやらホーンセクションなんかをやらすのもまた楽しい、良いライブアルバムです。
