『地獄八景亡者戯』といえば古典落語の王道で、これまでにも桂米朝さんや桂枝雀さんなどの巨匠が手がけていらっしゃいますが、この桂文珍さんバージョンは時事ネタもまだ新しく、聞いていてわかりやすく感じる部分が多々あると思います。天国で楽しく暮らしていらっしゃる著名人の方々や、念仏町でのショッピングのブランドネタ、落語が大好きな方だけでなく、誰でも楽しめる内容となっています。もちろん、お馴染みのネタも面白おかしく語られているので、舞台は地獄のお話なのに抱腹絶倒、聞いた後は幸せな気分にさえなってしまうという文珍さんの『地獄八景亡者戯』です。

とてもいいです
「地獄八景」は、はじめて聞いたのですがとても面白いです。
何回聞いても飽きない
時事ネタなども織り込まれてもバランスが崩れていない
そこがいいですね
是非お勧めです

今､上方の噺家の中で､この噺を語れるのは､米朝しか居なかった｡それを物の見事に文珍が継承した｡大看板が次々と世を去り､米朝も体力的にもうこの噺は出来ないであろう｡幸い私は､米朝の口演を2席持っているが､もう生の噺は聴けないと思っていた｡上方落語会にとっては､快挙である｡話の出来も､文珍が中で話している様に､米朝からの口伝である為､実にｽﾏｰﾄに､華麗に仕上がっている｡死者の噺だけに､暗くなりがちな所を､文珍の持ち前の陽気さで､見事に楽しいﾊﾟﾛﾃﾞｨの落語に仕上げている｡又､米朝の噺に更に一捻り加えて大きな笑いを取っている所は､文珍の落語に対する熱情と､恐ろしいまでの笑いに対する探求心が感じられる｡この噺を聴けば､文珍が相当な稽古量をこなしたであろう事は､私を含め全ての文珍ﾌｧﾝ､落語ﾌｧﾝが感じるのは容易な事である｡文珍の真の大看板への第一歩の作品である｡
