ロンドン発、リバティーンズの1stアルバムのＵＫ盤。

デビュー・シングル『ホワット・ア・ウェイスター』が歌詞の問題で放送禁止となったにもかかわらず全英チャートでトップ40入りを果たしたリバティーンズ。英国で10月21日に発売された1stアルバム『リバティーンズ宣言』もミュージック・ウィーク10月27日付チャートで初登場35位を記録。プロデュースを務めるのは元クラッシュのミック・ジョーンズ。贅肉を極限まで削ぎ落としたソリッドなギター・サウンドを武器に、ブリティッシュ・ビート直系の音世界を展開。今年のサマソニでもベスト・アクトとして絶賛の嵐を浴びるなど、かなり凄いことになっているバンドです。
