   セガの人気キャラクター「ソニック」が、超音速でGBAの画面をところせましと駆け巡る『ソニックアドバンス』の続編。前作に輪をかけて絶好調なソニックの走りっぷりは、いよいよ独走体制といえるかもしれない。

 『ソニックアドバンス2』は、ほかのゲームにはない「スピード感」を堪能できるジェットコースターアクションゲームだ。今作では、2Dソニック史上最速のスピード感を実現しており、この上ない爽快感を味わうことができる。マップも前作の6倍の広さになり、ゲームの手ごたえも大きい。加えて、操作の易しい初心者向けの新キャラクター「クリーム」が登場することで、ビギナーに優しい工夫が凝らされている点もうれしいところ。

   前作で好評を得たGC版『ソニックアドベンチャー2バトル』を用いたGAMECUBEとの連動も健在で、「チャオのプチガーデン」がバージョンアップして、新ミニゲームなどが登場する。さらに、カートリッジ1つで4人の対戦プレイが可能な通信対戦モードも搭載されている。（楠本　真二）

これまでソニックシリーズはプレイしたことがなく、これが初めての
ソニックでした。
興味はあったものの、アクションがあまり得意でないことが敬遠して
きた理由ですが、「気軽にプレイするにはアクションに限る」との
思いから購入しました。

私の場合、初プレイ後しばらくして「しまったなー」と購入を若干
後悔するハメに。

というのも、音速アクションをウリにしている割には爽快感があまり
ないのです（無論、私が下手なこともありますが）。
スピードに乗ってきたなー、というところで敵につまずき、障害物に
阻まれ、挙句に落下してロスト。
アクションの操作もＲボタン使用のせいでやや複雑。

ミニゲームやその他の隠し要素も、私にとっては条件が厳しくて

満喫する前に挫折しそうな予感です。日頃からアクションゲームを
プレイしている方はすぐ慣れるのでしょうが、私のような
初心者にはツライものがあります。

ソニックってこういうゲームだったのかと思い知らされることに
なりました。

今作から走り続けると残像がついてさらに加速するブーストモードとジャンプ台などからもう一回ジャンプができるトリックアクションが採用。

新アクションを前面に出す為か、ステージが広くなっており、また、動くブロックなどの立ち止まって待つ仕掛けが少なめなので、敵や仕掛けの配置を覚えてトリックをうまく使えば、ゴールまで一気に突っ走ることも可能に。

各ステージのボス戦は常に走りながらの戦いになっていて、普通のアクションゲームとは一味違った感覚で楽しめる。

スピード感はアドバンスシリーズでは一番で、ある意味ソニックらしい作品と言える。

欠点としてはボス戦の特異性からアクション初心者には難易度が高い。
各アクトに7つあるスペシャルリングを見つけるのがかなり困難。
やりこみ要素がほとんど無いこと。

スピード感が良いのでアドバンス3のクリアタイムに応じてメダルが貰えるシステムを今作から採用したらよかったかも。

ボス戦は賛否両論だけど、ステージでは仕掛けやスピード感が楽しいので2Dアクション好きなら損はないと思います。

個人的にBGMはアドバンスシリーズでは今作が一番良いです。

PS.説明書に書いてないけど、1にあったソニックの空中ダッシュは今作も可能です。

　はじめまして（？）自分は大のソニックファンです。
ＤＣ、ＧＣで３Ｄのソニアドがでましたが、ソニックは
やっぱり２Ｄが一番です。前作のソニアドも、ソニックの世界観を
壊さず、ソニックの速さというのも失われていませんでした。
なので今作も、きっととてもいい仕上がりになってることでしょう。

ストーリーというものはあまり重視されてないので、今作を買って、
前作を買うというのもいいでしょう。ソニックを知らない方、是非
ＳＥＧＡのＳＯＮＩＣＴＥＡＭがおくる「Sonic the hedgehog」の
世界に触れられてみてはいかがでしょうか？
