イギリスではフォルクスワーゲンのCMに使用され、チャートでもトップ10入りしたシングル「Strange and Beautiful」を含む一枚。
ヴォーカルが前面に押し出され、バックはピアノがメイン。ちょっとペットサウンズ期のビーチボーイズを彷彿とさせる曲調でもあります。

切ない男心（？）をとうとうと歌い上げている優しい声を一度聞いたら忘れられなくなり、衝動買いしたほどです。大当たり！
なんだかとっても癒される一枚です。よく眠れます。
日本ではまだまだ知られていないようで、残念です。

ジョッシュ・ハートネット？主演の恋愛映画「ホワイトライズ」
の中で、ジョッシュ演じる主人公に密かに思いを寄せる女性が
主人公に対しての思いを募らせるも思いをなかなか伝えられない
という場面で、このＣＤの一曲目「strange & beautiful」が
かかってました。この曲はまさに片思いの曲。片思い中の人には
痛いほど分かる歌詞だと思います。曲調もまさにそれを連想させる
切ない曲調で、とてもいい曲だと思います。オススメですよ(^^)b
