今回のリマスターシリーズ、実に購入意欲がそそられるものの２２タイトルもあるんじゃ・・・
そんな折、耳寄りな情報をGet。
なんとシリーズ超目玉はこの『12×5』で決まり！

アメリカのチェススタジオでの録音の為、マスターがリアルステレオなんだって。つまり素材の良さが、最新リマスターでシリーズ最高の結果をもたらしたらしい。

先にレビューされた方も書いていたけれど、やはりチェススタジオ録音の音源の優秀さゆえかとびぬけたリマスタとなっています。
これは絶対買いです。
すばらししいです。
現場の空気も感じられます。ああ。

もともと初期ストーンズのレコーディングはアメリカ録音の作とイギリス録音の音質にかなり差があったのだけれど、今回のリマスタによってまたその差が顕著に感じられます。
やっぱりイギリスのほうは技術的に遅れていたのでしょう。

星五つはリマスタとしての評価です。

と呼べるものが音楽ファンには必ずある。このアルバムは全編モノラルで￥1500で購入したものだった。
初めての印象は｢アラウンド｣｢空っぽハート｣｢南ミシガン｣「S-Q]等のアップテンポな曲に興味を持った。やがて時間とともに｢告白ブルース｣「祝辞」｢僕が要るなら｣｢時間が味方｣のようなスロー系に感じるようになり、やがては何所をとっても体を揺する事が出来るアルバムになっていった。(実は｢悪に育って｣だけは今も赤面しながら聞く事があるが)
｢渚の板橋｣のようなもろポップスにはいささか抵抗があったが、これもオリジナルまで遡ってしまうほどのファンになった。
英国では正式なアルバムになっていない本作だが、どうもこのアルバムの重要度が高い為にオリジン好きの日本でも初期ストーンズのアルバムは米盤仕様になってしまったのではないかと思える程である。
それが今回のステレオ録音の発掘で、聞いてみるとなんとも綺麗な音に驚かされる。
右チャンネルからチャックベリーのイントロが飛び出してくる事の意外さと素晴らしさ、初期アルバムの中でも重要な一枚だと思う。
｢アウト･オブ･アワ･ヘッズ｣にもステレオ･ヴァージョンはないのかねー。
まだまだ、わくわくさせてくれるストーンズであって欲しいものだ。
