ヴィブのギターワークに目がいきますが、 これ作曲は大半がベインなんですね。

本作をピークにヴィブとベインは輝きを失っていったのを振り返ると、ミュージシャンの創作力は一瞬の輝きを放って消えていくのだなと感じます。
ヴィブはディオ時代に関して、若さに任せて奔放にやってたなどと言ってますが、どうして今の大人びた仕事に果たして満足してるのでしょうか?

ELF-Rainbowを経たRonnie James Dioが自分の音楽を作りあげるために勢力をあげて結成したBand"Dio"の傑作1st。1,2,5,8等、今でもLiveで定番の曲が多く、Heavyでミステリアスで、ファンタジー風味あふれるDioの楽曲が楽しめる。Vivian Campbell(exSweet Savage-Def Leppard)、Jimmy Bain(exRainbow)、Vinny Apice(exBlack Sabbath)での黄金期の演奏。Ronnieの歌もさえている。

デジタルリマスターということで、つい買ってしまった。
音質では、キーボードの音がクリアになったような。。。が、それより、LPのアートワークが忠実に再現！！されており、マニアのコレクターズアイテムとして、もう一枚持っても損はないだろう。
