待望のJustinのソロデビューアルバム。しかしこの制作陣のすごさは何だ！？全13曲中、Neptunesが7曲、Timbalandが4曲を担当するという贅沢さで、彼が白人であるのを忘れさせてしまうほど完璧なまでにR&Bマナーにのっとった音作り。プロデューサーからもわかるようにビートもファンク色が強く、明らかに'N Syncの音の質感とは違う。正直言ってグループ時代のポップ色はほぼ皆無。コアなファンは動揺してしまう内容かもしれない。ただ、売らんがためにソロアルバムを出したのではなく、Justin自身が本当にやりたい音をここで実践しているのがよくわかる。この中では1stシングル(2)が出色の出来。硬質なビートのループ、そして耳から離れないほど強烈なフックを持つサビ、すべてが完璧なまでに融合した最高クールな曲。また(6)もすごくGroovyで聞いていて気持ちいいし、サビで転調する(8)もメロがクールでかっちょいい。そして(10)ではなんとJanetをフューチャーリング。これも非常に作りこまれた出来で、ハードなビートと生音とがなんともいえない感じでミックスされており、これも一聴する価値あり。アルバム全体を聞きとおして!み!!ても、全体的な統一感があって完成度としても高い。しかも安易に売りに走っていない姿勢も素晴らしい。ただ、アルバムを締めるような曲があと1、2曲含まれていればいうことなかった。全体が同じトーンで統一されすぎていて、逆にバラエティさに少し欠けるかも。でもこれで新たなファンを獲得することは確実。R&B/HipHopファンも聞くべし。

インシンクのフロントマン、ジャスティンのソロ作。JIVE RECORDSが、これ以上望めないほどの莫大な制作費をつぎ込んだ超大作で、The NeptunesとTimbalandのメインプロデュースよるR&Bの最先端のサウンドが聴ける。よって、当然のことながら捨て曲はひとつもなく、アップテンポ「Like I Love You」「Nothin' Else」「Rock Your Body」ともに全曲相当高いクオリティを誇っているが、「Never Again」ではまだ表現力が追いついていないと感じるし、「Take It From Here」は甘ったるくて中だるみしてしまうと思う。個人的にベストラックは構成・ヴォーカルともに完璧な「Last Night」、異色のメロディアスポップ「Let's Take A Ride」のふたつ。サウンドとしては、全体的にインシンクの「Girlfriend Remix」でやろうとしてたことを拡張したイメージがある。

ジャスティンの高く、カッコイイ声がいっぱい聞けるのはもちろん、大人ならマイケル・ジャクソンを思い出させるようなすごくのりのイイ曲です！！特に二番がいいですよ！！
何回聞いても飽きないし、絶対メロメロにさせてくれます★
まだ買ってない人は、ぜひ買ってメロメロになってみては？？
