初めて聴いたときは正直「あれ？これがクラムボン？」って思った。けど、聴き続けていくうちに、やっぱり詞、曲ともにクラムボンなんだな、と納得。「adolescence」、「コントラスト」は必聴。両曲とも、あっというまに流れていく周辺世界の中で、ふと立ち止まって何か置き忘れてきたことを考えてみたいな、というときにぴったりの曲です。

ただ、他の「クラムボン」のアルバムとは少し毛色が違うので、クラムボン入門編としては向かないかな？

２００２年に発表した４thアルバム。バラード系の「ハレルヤ」や「コントラスト」、シングルカットした「adolescence」などは以降も定番の超名曲になっているだけに、アルバムとして散漫な感じを受けるのが残念。組曲的な長い曲で自分たちの最大の長所である、ジャズ〜ボッサ的な気持ちよさをばっさり切り捨てたトリッキーな曲が目立ちすぎてしまったのがその原因だと思われる。
前作「ドラマチック」は当時の彼らとしては新機軸のオルタナ風プロデュースだったがアルバム内のイメージは一貫していたし、何よりも彼らの持ち味のせつないポップさが全曲に生きていた。しかし本作はアンビエント風だったりカンタベリー風だったりとプロデュース面が散漫。一曲自体は丁寧に作ってあるのはよく分かるが、全体を見渡すと前作〜前々作よりも出来は粗い。しかしこの音響路線での課題を次作「Imagination」できっちり返したのは見事だった。

個人的には、ドラマチックよりもidの収録曲の方が好きです。
特にロッククライミングは、良く聴いています。
