前作ダンス・イントゥ・ザ・ライトは力み過ぎたせいか多少不満の残る内容だったけど、このアルバムでは妙に若さや力強さをアピールすることもなく、等身大の姿勢のフィルを前面に打ち出しています。他の作品と比較するならボース・サイズに近い雰囲気で、内省的なボーカルは優しく暖かい。80年代のような華やかさはもうなくなってしまったけれど、洗練された極上の大人のポップスが堪能できる一枚です。「世界で最も忙しい男」の異名はもう過去に遺して、これからはマイペースでクオリティの高い作品を生み出していってくれるフィルに期待しています。

この作品はいままでの中で1番感動的の物に仕上がっています。中でもリースト・ユー・キャン・ドゥやキャント・ストップ・ラヴィング・ユーが好きです。他にも感動的な良い曲がありますのでオススメします。聴いていて「やっぱりフィルだな」という感じも出てきます。

彼の今の心境が伝わってくるような、暖かく、やさしく、
そして実は熱いものぐっと秘めた名作です。
琴線に触れてしまったら最後、涙が止まらなくなります。
ただ、CCCDであるという点だけはどうしても減点。
それがなければ、申し分なく５つ星です。
