いやあ、 チャーリー・シーン、エミリオ・エステベス、二人とも久しぶり！！って感じだったけど、さすがの演技だった。
見直したよ！脱帽！！
演じている二人が実の兄弟だけあって、このミッチェル兄弟役も息がぴったり。他のキャスティングはあり得ないと思えるほど。

ポルノを撮る兄弟の話だが、全然イヤらしくなく、兄弟がドラッグや酒で人生を自ら破滅に追いやっていく様子をダークに描いている。
ポルノが成功していた時期が過ぎると、どんどん悪い方向へ行ってしまい、
その後どんなことが待ち受けているのだろう、とドキドキして見ていた。
ラストは衝撃的・・・。

７１年にポルノ映画に革命をもたらした「ビハインド・ザ・グリーンドア」。正直見たことはなかったけど名前だけは知っていた。いわゆる演技ではなくて、本番でやったというので日本でもかなり話題になったらしい。
その映画を作ったミッチェル兄弟の物語という非常にマイナーな題材を使ったものだけれど、映画としては非常に見ごたえがある。

兄弟の兄役のジムを演じるエミリオ・エステベスが自ら監督をし、その冷静で優秀な兄に対して、本能だけで生きるロクデナシの弟アーティを、チャーリーシーンが快演。。。猛烈なポルノキングの人生を炸裂してくれる。回りでかかわった人たちはえらい迷惑だけれど、第三者的にはこういうやつじゃないと、おもしろいポルノは作れないかも、と妙に納得してしまう。

本国では劇場公開は問題があったのか、されずに、ケーブルだけで話題が広がった映画というだけに、特にポルノがどうしたというのを置いといても、純粋に兄弟の葛藤を見るだけでもかなりの見ごたえがある。

それ以前も、好事家対象だった欧州発の「ブルーフィルム」という
ものが存在していました。しかしながら、一般営業している劇場で
この種の映画が放映されることは、「ブレイクスルー」です。
革新者が成功者になった後、待っているのは悲劇と決まっている
わけではないのでしょうけど、、、せつない展開が、彼らの
拓いた「新世紀の始まり」に灯台のような永遠の輝きを与えます。
