「サンゲリア」のような展開のゾンビではないですが、突然クライマックスで病院中にあふれるゾンビの大群は異様な恐さもあってマニアにはたまりません。
あとファビオ・フリッツィの美しい音楽もこの頃は絶頂期でした。

　イタリア・ホラーの大御所フルチの傑作。えげつない描写に、荒涼とした世界観、意表を突くストーリー展開と、どこをとってもフルチらしさが楽しめる。
　良識派の批評家が言うとおり、確かにストーリーの論理的整合性が欠ける面がある。しかしそれが却って、作品世界が常識を”超えた”世界にあるということを不気味な迫力とともに強調している。

ここで「ビヨンド」を批判してる人たちは「ビヨンド」を理解できない、というより
理解しようとしない人が多いようですね。意味不明だとか、なぜその場面でそんなものが？
そんなことが？とか、今更な言い分ですね。ウンザリします。この映画のなかで起きる現象に
意味なんてないです。単純に頭に浮かんだ情景を具現化させてるだけです。イメージの連続です。
そういう理不尽で不条理で不可解な出来事を批判するのではなく、むしろそこを楽しむべきです。
それが出来ないならフルチ監督作を観賞する資格はないですね。
