   ショーン・ポールは、アメリカ・ポピュラー音楽界でもトップクラスの能力を持つ次世代のドル箱ダンスホール・アーティストとして、ビーニー・マンやスーパー・キャット（サウンドもルックスも似ている）の歩んだ道を追っている。

   本作は、出世作となった「Infiltrate」と「Deport Them」についていまだに語り合っているファンもがっかりさせはしない。「明かりをくれ」と訴えるとびきりキャッチーなフックを持つ遠慮のないトラック「Gimme the Light」は、リスナーにCDプレイヤーのリピートボタンを何度も押させるだろう。また、ポールのシングジェイ（歌とラップをミックスさせたジャ・ルールのようなスタイル）を引きたてる優れたトラックは、2002年初頭の筋金入りのローカル・ヒット曲だ。その「Like Glue」では「Buyout」のリズムに乗り、セクシャルな風刺を散りばめた「Can You Do the Work?」ではゲストに甘い歌声のセシールを迎えている。

   だが、実験的なリリック（たとえば「Punkie」ではスペイン語でラップしている）やビート（「Street Respect」ではアップテンポで古典的なインド音楽のリズムを用いている）への挑戦は、そこそこの結果に終わっている。それに、トニー・タッチやネプチューンズ（「Bubble」）の手を借りたヒップ・ホップ的なアプローチも、本作をさらにもう一段上の純粋なダンスホール・アルバムへと引き上げるのには、あまり成功していない。

のりのりになれちゃいますぜぃ！アメリカのクラブでかかっていましたよー本場でも売れているって実感しました♪

私個人ではとても気に入ってます。
特にシングルカットされた曲なんかはいつも聴いてます。
声がたまりません！彼の声が好きでないと聴けないぐらい歌い続けてます。
結構飽きてしまう曲も中にはあるのですが、流して聴くと気にならなかったり。
シングルカットされた曲は今のところ3.gimme the light、4.like glue、5.get busy、10.I'm still in love with youです。

個人的には12.Can You Do The Workがお気に入りです。

お腹一杯って感じですかね。期待していたんですが、ドライブにはいいかな。でもずっと長く愛着を持って聞くもんじゃないですな…
