    歌う役者は数あれど、現在でその手本、そして理想系といえば夏木マリでしょう。
    音楽家でない役者に何を求めるか、それはリズム感でも声量でもテクニックでもなく、
    歌詞を通じてその歌の情景を完全に演出できる表現力です。

    正直、彼女の歌唱力自体はたいしたものではない。
    しかしながら、彼女の声帯が震えてから止まるまで、そのために息を呑む瞬間まで、
    彼女が発声していない間でさえ、彼女の表現力の支配下にあるのが良くわかる。
    特に「決められた以外の台詞」「ピストル」「鏡よ鏡」、そしてモノローグの「三時間42分」そそれに続く「惚れ薬」の流れは圧巻です。

    このアルバムは黒を基調とした装丁で作られています。
    実際、ウッドベースの陰影の中で彼女が浮かび上がりながら舞台を独演してるのを見ているようなアルバムです。
    もちろん演出家は小西さん。

    タイトルの「パロール」とは言語構造学上の用語で「現実における個人の発話行為」の意味です。

    名盤、お勧めです。

    小西康陽が多くの楽曲でプロデュースを手掛けた夏木マリの異色作。出だし(1)からしてアルゼンチンの匂いが滲み出た秀逸な楽曲。語りかける夏木マリの声も憂いを帯びていて聞き入ってしまう。その後に続く楽曲群もJazzyで洒落気の効いたものがずらりと並ぶその様は圧巻。タイトルのユニークさからしてその独自性は明らかだが、彼女の曲では歌詞の比重も非常に高い。そのワンアンドオンリーな詩世界にもついつい聞き入ってしまう。あたかも映画を見ているかのような感覚にしてしまうその手腕は素晴らしい。時代を超えて聞くことが出来るであろう、そんなアルバム。

    夏木マリさんほど素敵に歳を重ねている女性を私は他にみたことがありません。
    これほどの表現力と貫禄がだせるのは日本では夏木さんぐらいのものでしょう。この「パロール」を聞いて私は夏木さんの虜になってしまいました。
    そして，これほどかっこよく年令を重ねている女性がいるのなら自分が歳をとることを怖がらなくてよいのだと思うことが出来ました。

    曲や詞もとても雰囲気があって景色，情景が浮かんでくる素晴らしいアルバムです。
    かっこよすぎてしびれました！
