日本でフィル・コリンズと言えばヒットメーカーであるとかサービス精神旺盛である等の良い評価ばかりだが、イギリスなど海外ではプライベート部分の詮索もあったりして酷評が続いていたらしい。２作前のBoth Sidesではプライベート・スタジオで出来るだけ自身のみの演奏で仕上げたこともあったし、前作のDance Into The Lightでは明るく軽快なイメージに拘って仕上げたこともあった。そして今作は、これまでの仕事一辺倒の姿ではなく、再婚した奥さんや子供と愛情に満ちあふれた毎日を一緒に過ごしたい、という気持ちが前面に出た作品が多くなっている。「愛する人がそばにいないと寂しい」「いつも愛する人と一緒にいたい」という表現をいろいろな角度から捉えている。中には愛するあまりストーカー的な行為に走る気持ちを表現した作品まであるほど。愛する気持ちの幸せ、つらさ、切なさ、怖さなど、素直な作品が多く、彼自身が自分の家族を大切に思う心境が伝わってくるようだ。昔の作品のようなポップなメロディにのせて社会風刺を表現していたのとは大きく異なり、フィル自身の心境として聴いてみると、フィル・コリンズという存在が以前よりも近いものに感じることが出来ると思う。

　2003年秋に突如リリースされた傑作、僕はこのアルバムのリリースを全く知らず、新古書店で売られていたのを偶然発見し、慌てて購入した。僕のようなフィル大好き人間が新譜情報を全く知らないという状況では日本では売れるはずがない。
　内容は前々作「ボースサイズ」の姉妹盤といった内容で、「バットシリアスリー」のような豪華ゲストなし、フェニックスホーンもなしで、華やかさはないが、じっくり聞き込むと離れられなくなるような愛らしい楽曲が満載、1曲目の「ウエイクアップコール」は朝の寝ぼけた感じを巧みに表現したフィルらしい創意工夫ある曲、2曲目の「カムウイズミー」はフィルお得意のバラードで個人的には本作のベストトラック、そして中盤の盛り上がりがドラマチックなタイトル曲、ヒットしたレオセイヤーのカバー（フィルは静寂の嵐をリリースした1976年にスイスのスキー場でこの曲を初めて聞き、曲の良さに感動したらしい）など聞き応えある曲が並ぶ。後半にはなぜかコーダ部分が「リンダリンダ」に似ている曲が収録されているが、フィルは案外日本のポップスもリサーチして曲を制作しているのかもしれない。
