ジョディーフォスターが体当たりの演技が絶大の評価を受け、見事にアカデミー賞主演女優賞に輝いた作品。
犯罪被害者が、必ずしも守られるわけでなく、時には理不尽な扱いを受け、その理不尽さ。その歯がゆさが見事に演技されていて、見事な作品。
作品としては、満点に近い評価ができる。
しかし、日本語吹き替えが最悪の評価にしてしまう。

このＤＶＤの音声は、オリジナル（英語）と日本語の２各国語が用意されているが、日本語吹き替えは、以前にＴＶ放送した時のものをそのまま流用しているため、
ＴＶ放送時にカットされたシーンの吹き替えがなく、そのシーンになると、急に英語になってしまう。

日本語で鑑賞しているときに、急に音声が変わってしまうのは、人によっては、不愉快に感じるだろう。
ＤＶＤ化の際には、音声も新しく用意してほしかった。
「洋画鑑賞に吹き替えは入らない。」という方にはお薦めの一枚です。

ジョディ＝フォスターがとても好きで、ビデオで後追いして知った映画です。

ジャンルでいえば法廷ものになるんでしょうけれど、法廷シーン被害者であるジョディ＝フォスターのレイプ後の日常がメインに描かれています。

レイプという事実が女性にどれだけのダメージを与えるか、そして人間が弱いものに対してどれだけ残虐になれるのかを後半の再現シーンが物語ります。

個人的には食欲がかなりの期間減退し、鬱々とした気持ちになりました。
法廷でのシーンも少し呆気ないですし、脚本的にはずいぶんと弱い気もするんですけれど、ジョディの迫真の演技が全てを補います。

万人にお勧めできる映画ではない気もしますが、良識を持った人全てに見てもらい、何かを感じて欲しい映画です。

　とある地方都市で起きたレイプ事件の物語です。
　実際には、法廷で争うシーンがメインです。弁護士が加害者、被害者、目撃者に話を聞き、観客にじわじわと事件の真相が見えてくると言う手法が見事です。
