   五つの赤い風船の解散直後にリリースされた西岡たかしのファースト・ソロ・アルバム（1973年発表）。「ぷろふぇしょなるじぃじぃ」で中川イサトがギターを弾いている以外は、すべて西岡自身の歌と演奏（多重録音）によるもので、五つの赤い風船時代から凝ったサウンド作りで定評のあった彼の、関西フォーク・シーン随一のメロディ・メイカーぶりが、このアルバムでも十分味わうことができるはずだ。なかには、16トラックすべてをヴォーカルで埋めてしまったという「みんないい人」みたいなすごいトラックも収録され、彼の宅録マニアぶりがうかがえる。（木村ユタカ）

「遠い世界に」等のヒットで知られるフォーク・グループ、五つの赤い風船のリーダー、西岡たかし氏の初のソロ・アルバム。
「五つの...」時代の代表曲では、当時の時代背景もあってか、そのメッセージ性ばかりが注目を浴びがちだったが、レコーディングではかなり実験的な音作りに取り組んでいた、という側面も持ち合わせていた。

そうしたサウンド面での実験性が、西岡氏のこのアルバムでは全面的に開花している。
実験的といっても、けっして難解なものにはなっておらず、遊び心の延長線上のように聴けてしまうところに、彼のふところの深さが感じられます。
M-1、M-3あたりの曲は、マジカル・パワー・マコなんかをも彷佛とさせる。

しかし、アルバム後半が割と普通のフォーク・ロック調になってしまい、楽曲はいいものの、前半と比べるといささか地味な印象になってしまっています。

また、西岡氏には同名の著書もあります。
