   ジャックスのローディだった高橋照幸による1人ユニット。1969年に岡林信康とのスプリットLP『休みの国／岡林信康リサイタル』を第3回会員配布盤として発表しているが（ちなみに、その時のバックは早川義夫以外の後期ジャックス）、本盤は、その69年盤からの曲に、当時録音を終了していたセカンドLP用の曲を加え、URCが72年に勝手にリリースしてしまったといういわくつき盤。高橋照幸の作品は、URCのアーティストがこぞって取り上げる位に人気が高かったが、本盤でも、そんな彼の非凡な才能が確認できるナンバーが並んでいる。大人の童謡的な手触りが魅力だ。（木村ユタカ）

ジャックスが全面的にバックアップ。1972年。高橋照幸の一人ユニット。ほどよくチカラを抜いたボーカルスタイルはとても心地よい感じ。おだやかに流れる時間。アコースティックギターと大らかなベースラインと引き立て役に徹したドラム。

Union Stripは穏やかだけどファンキィなドラムに乗せたマリンバと口笛がたまらなくラウンジ。Fuzzの効いたハードなトラックもあるけれど、むしろこういう曲がとても似合ってると思う。「朝のダウンタウン」の陽気でややカサノバな雰囲気もいい感じ。こういうのに、溶けそうな高橋照幸のヴォーカルはハマってる。と思う。続く短い「楽しいさすらい人」の軽妙な演奏とそれに付かず離れずというような飄々とした雰囲気も良い感じ。恐らくリリースされた頃は、むしろシリアスな曲の方が人気があったんだろうなぁと想像するけど、このチカラの抜き具合がむしろ心地よい。

バックの演奏はあの伝説のバンド｢ジャックス」が担当。
ラストの曲「追放の歌」は、とある対談で頭脳警察のPANTAもお気に入りとの事。｢ジャックス」のナンバーとはまた一味違った魅力がある。
