   西村由紀江がデビュー作『アンジェリック』を発表したのは1986年のこと。以来、コンスタントにアルバムを発表していて、これは通算では24枚目となる作品。ここ数年、癒し系とかヒーリング・ミュージックといった言葉をよく耳にするけど、この人はデビュー以降、一貫して心に優しいピアノ・ミュージックを演奏し続けていて、まさにその道の第一人者といってもいい。
   全12曲入り。半分はソロ・ピアノで、残り半分はオカリナ、チェロ、ハープ、胡弓、ストリングスなどとの共演。曲はラストの<12>（ドビュッシー）以外はすべてオリジナル。どこか懐かしい感じのするメロディを淡々と弾いていて、思わず郷愁を誘われる。この人のピアノを聴いていると心が洗われる、素直な気持ちになれるという人が多いようだけど、それは彼女の優しさがそのまま音楽に反映しているからだろう。どの曲もゆったりとしたテンポで演奏している。横文字が氾濫（はんらん）する中、タイトルも曲名もすべて日本語というのは、かえって新鮮だったりするから不思議だ。（市川正二）

【なんて素敵な曲なんだろう･･･】
彼女の奏でる繊細で美しいピアノの音色を聴く度に
私の心はそんな想いで一杯に満たされます。

もはや論より証拠。
実際に聴く事でその素晴らしさが伝わるはずです。
これほどまでに衝撃を受けた音楽はありません。

ここ何年かで【癒し】という言葉が流行りました･･･

その【癒し】という言葉は音楽に当てはめるものではありません。
私は【音楽で癒される】という言葉が嫌いです。
その理由はこのＣＤを聴いて頂けると解ると思います。
このＣＤは【本当の音楽】というものを聴く者に伝えてくれます。
私は音楽を聴いて癒されているのではなく、その旋律から
作曲者、演奏者の曲に込めた想い、伝えたいものを心で感じ取り

想像による憧憬を思いを浮かべ、美しい世界に浸るのです。
音楽は無限･･･西村由紀江さんは音楽の原点を、本当の音楽というものを
知っている方です。
それを私達に伝えようとしているのだと思います。

彼女の独特な【色】のある音楽は
郷愁を誘うノスタルジックな曲調がメインであり
潜在する己の感性が覚醒される程の衝撃と感動を秘めています。

小難しく、長々となってしまいましたが
少しでも興味を持って下さった方、是非聴いて欲しいです。
音楽は言葉をも越えるメッセージです。
このＣＤについては上手く言葉で表現出来ません。
私が皆さんに伝えたいことも、このＣＤを聴いて頂けると解ると思います。

やさしくてふんわりとしたメロディーです。
ピアノの繊細な音色がとってもここちよくすーっと
こころに響きます。
二胡やハープの音色とのハーモーニーもほんとうに
すてきです。
出逢えてしあわせなＣＤです。

　明日のために　自分らしく生きていたい
　もっと素敵な　明日のために・・・
という、西村さんの思いの通り、どの曲も明日のために頑張ろうと勇気を与えてくれる曲ばかりです。日々の生活に疲れている人もそうでない人も是非聞いてみてください。自分らしさを取り戻すことができると思います。
