ベスト盤がヒットして、その勢いで活動再開した10cc、10年ぶりの復活!　 発売当時、期待して聴きましたが、ここには何も有りませんでした。 どの曲も退屈で、10ccの歴史に泥を塗るかたちになってしまいました。

９２年発表の再結成第一弾。８３年の『Windows In The Jungle』を活動を停止していた１０ｃｃは、その後グラハムはアンドリュー・ゴールドとのＷａｘで活躍、エリックはポール・マッカートニーなどとの活動を経て９１年に再結成された。当初はゴドレイ/クレーム組の正式参加も計画されていたが、契約の都合で断念されたものの、彼らは演奏、ヴォーカルなどでゲスト参加しており、その甲斐があってかこのアルバムはかなりの充実作となっている。曲も末期の１０ｃｃとも一味違った素晴しいものが揃っており、このアルバムがかなり時間を掛けて周到に用意されていたことが良く分かる。特にＤｒ．ジョンが参加した４．や、ゴドレイが素晴しいヴォーカルを聞かせる６．そしてポール・マッカートニーの『Press To Play』制作時のモチーフの再利用であろう１０．は泣きのメロディが効きまくった名曲。
彼らは本作の後にエリック/ゴールドマンによる１０ｃｃのアルバムをもう一枚発表しているが、過去の代表曲のリミックスに頼りきった内容であり、１０ｃｃというよりもデュオ・アルバムのような作品であったため、本作が実質的な１０ｃｃのラスト・アルバムと捉えるべきだろう。それだけのクオリティは間違いなく持っていると思う。
ちなみにドラムスにはジェフ・ポーカロが参加している。

オリジナルメンバー４人が参加という嬉しいふれこみでの久々のニューアルバムだった。当時僕はグラハムのWAXにもはまり、エリックの参加したポールのプレスも大好きだったので、天才２人の科学反応音楽を期待したが、、、雑誌の宣伝文句の中に「８０年代の１０CCよりも出来がいい」とあったが、「都市探検」や「１０アウトオブテン」の方が絶対に出来がいい。当時２人は久々の共作作業に苦労し、難産の末の作品だったと言っているが、２人とも作曲方法も変わり、周囲や２人が期待した昔のような科学反応を生み出すことはできなかったようだ。個人的には2やアンドリューゴールドの参加したWAXっぽいチャリティーなどは好きだ。それから1のシングルのみの「man in the mission」はなぜアルバムにいれなかったの？ラジオで結構かかっているのにアルバムには未収録で探すのに苦労した。都市探検の「２４時間」を期待した自分が馬鹿だった。
