　映画そのものの評価は他の方々のレビューを参照してもらうとして、この「アメージング・ボックス」の特典について書きます。

　まず、「オリジナルイラストブック」や「リプリントコミックブック」「オリジナルリトグラフ」などに関してですが、これらのグッズに関しては、よほどのアメコミマニアじゃないとその価値がわからないと思われます。しかも無茶苦茶価値が高い、というわけでもありません。

　さらに、抱き合わせで付いてくる三枚目のDVD「スパイダーマン　誕生の秘密」ですが、こちらはケヴィン・スミスによるスタン・リーへのインタビューです。コミックに理解のあるインタビュアーが的確な質問をしてくれるおかげで、非常に価値の高い内容になっており、私自身は非常に堪能しましたが、「ケヴィン・スミスとスタン・リーって誰？」と思われた方にとっては、たいして面白くもないことでしょう。むしろ退屈に感じられるかもしれません。
　よっぽどのマニアを自負している方以外は、通常盤で十分と思われます。

スパイダーマンの何が良いって、主人公が普通なところですよ。スーパーマンは宇宙人で初めから強かったけど、スパイダーマンは最初から強かったわけじゃない。だから普通に悩んで、普通に怖がって、それでも自分が授かった力で愛する人たちを救おうと頑張って。そこがメチャメチャカッコ良いのです。だからスーパーマンは嫌いだけどスパイダーマンは好き。

映画館での興奮も冷めやらぬ間にDVD発売。画面が小さくなってしまった分、スケールもダウンするが、それでも見始めたら最後まで見てしまう。絶対に、途中で一度停止などするべきではない。とにかく理屈を考えず、単純にストーリーを楽しむべき作品である。CGを多用し、あえてコミック的映像にしているのが、いいのではないか。このボックスに関して言えば、他では手に入らないグッズが付いており、コレクターや熱心なファンには買い、であるが、そうではない人は通常版で十分である。
