この作品を出す以前の彼らはその奇抜なルックスに注目が集まり、半ばアイドル的な扱いをされていた。もちろん当初から彼らの特徴である妖艶さはあったものの、メロディアスな曲調も相まって女性ファンを中心にそういった結果になったのだろう。しかしこのアルバムを境に彼らはそういった周囲の視線を断ち切った。離れる者あれば、より近づく者あり。つまり、彼らの主張する”音”に素直に共感するファン層を獲得していった記念すべきアルバムである。今井寿の奇怪なギターと桜井敦の妖艶な詩の世界にどっぷり浸かってみて欲しい。
