北欧のポップス職人が奇跡の復活！約５年のブランクを感じさせない、彼らしさを120％発揮した作品が届けられた。2ndと同じく抜群の声質を活かしたアコースティック寄りで、哀愁よりは温かさのほうが強い。シンプルだが決して地味ではない。聴き易くメロディー派なら誰にでもお薦めできる作品。

1stでは哀愁たっぷりの北欧ロックを披露していたが2ndからはアコースティックなポップサウンドの中にほどよく哀愁を漂わせていたが、その方向性をそのまま継承している。どこかで聞き覚えのあるようなメロディーで懐かしい気持ちにさせる彼のメロディーメイカーとしての才能に驚嘆させられる。普通の人が歌えばただのありきたりの音楽も彼が歌えば哀愁漂う極上の北欧ロックにさせてしまう声質も最大の魅力だろう。ただし得意のバラードがこのアルバムで聴けなかった事をマイナス点とし星４つ。

ミカエルのこの４ｔｈアルバムは本当にすばらしい。
叙情性や哀愁こそ少ないが、単純に曲の出来が最高である。
ボーナストラックこそいらないが、
全１２曲に捨て曲なんてないし、
アルバムとしては過去の作品で一番まとまってると思う。
音楽性としては、ブライアンアダムスやイナフズナフ
ネルソンの「ライフ」に通ずる部分が多く、
そこにミカエルの天性のメロディーセンスが加わって
ＰＯＰだがそれで終わっていない。

５年振りの作品ということで才能が枯れてるのではないか
という不安は、１曲目のＡメロで吹き飛ぶはず。
過去の作品と違う点はアップテンポの曲が多いこと。
バラードや哀愁ある曲が欲しかったとも思うが、
これだけ統一感ある見事なアルバムに違う色の曲が
入ると少し違和感があったかも・・とも思う。
ヴェリーベストで済ませてるミカエルファンは
ぜひともこの４ｔｈアルバムを聴いてみて下さい。
哀愁だけでない才能に驚かされることでしょう。

音質の面でも問題なし。
１ｓｔのプロデューサーの”ＭＰ”と再び組んでいるので
音は音楽性にマッチしておりすばらしい。
シンプルだが軽くなく、フックの効いた曲だらけである。
ほとんどの曲が３分台ということからもわかるように、
展開が早くフックの妙技が発揮され、
まさに天才ソングライターと思い知らされる。
アレンジも絶品である。

２ｎｄからアコースティック色が強くなったと言われてるが
このアルバムで流れてるのは、全編エレキである。
アコギやキーボードは少なくエレキが曲を支えており
力強く進んでいっている。
クリーントーンも多いが、へヴィなリフの曲もある！

哀愁＆叙情だけでなく、こんな爽快感あるＰＯＰな曲も
多く作れるとは本当に多彩で天才だ。
個人的には１１曲目が特に気に入った☆
アルバム単位では一番好きなアルバムだ。
