　舞台はUK，ヨークシャーの片田舎に住むかなり太めの主婦デイジー（シャーロット・ブリテン）は，リストラされた甲斐性なしの亭主ケン（リー・ロス）と自分を養うため，一念発起して缶詰工場で働き出す。その工場には，日本ひいきの主任マーリーン（アネット・バッドランド）が作った女性だけの「相撲サークル」があった。マーリーンの夢は公開の場で相撲の試合をして太った女性をバカにするやつらを見返すこと。誘われるままにデイジーも「心・技・体」の修行に励むことになる。

　いわば女性版の「フル・モンティ」みたいなもんかと思っていたら違うのだった。いや，もしかしたらそうかも知れないんだけど，ちりばめられた相撲や日本文化に対する理解（というか誤解）の，どこまでが意図されたギャグからほんまに分かってないのが判然とせず，その曖昧さが却って我々日本人にだけ感じられるえも言われぬ可笑しさというか奇妙なテイストというか，そういう一種独特なものを感じさせるのである。

ｿｺで彼女ゎ素質を見込まれ秘密ｸﾗﾌﾞのﾒﾝﾊﾞｰに迎ぇ入れられる
ｿｺゎ秘密の女性相撲組織でぁった

一方旦那ゎェィﾘァﾝﾏﾆァの友人に
ェィﾘァﾝにつぃて洗脳され始め
妻の体がェィﾘァﾝに侵略されたと思ぃ込む

原題はシークレットソサエティ（秘密の会）で
太った女の人たちが秘密でやっていた相撲倶楽部のことをさしている
相撲と日本文化に触れることと
公開試合を行うことで自己嫌悪から自己開放、自己実現への成長を成し遂げる女性の物語
しかしこれがまた、誤解日本系のネタ映画かと思いきや
意外にきちっとした相撲の型をやっていて
最後の試合も日本から呼んだらしい実際の力士（学生相撲っぽい）等ときっちりとした相撲会場で対決する
何故か日本の力士は男ばっかりなんだけどね
シコもしっかり踏むし
物言いがついたり、ビデオカメラプレイバックでの判定など
かなりリアルに相撲が行われる

日本人が見たらコメディっぽく見えるけど
あっちの人が見たらかなり真剣な異色恋愛映画なのかも
