　もうなんといってよいやら。
物語の初めは、暗い話からスタートするんですが、というより暗い話の連続なのですが、前向きにけなげに生きているレミを見ていると本当に心が洗われます。

あと原作をすべて読んでいないので詳しく比較は出来ないのですが、ビタリス一座のメンバーは本当にかわいいですね。動きもかわいいし、これまた素直で本当に気持ちのいい作品です。

ハープを弾くレミの姿かわいいですよ。フルートも吹くんですね。みんなかわいい動作で描かれているんです。これは製作者がかなり意図したことだと思いますが大成功です。

あと実際ロケハンをフランスでしているのでかなり旅行前に見たりすると意外といい旅行のコースが選べる参考資料になるかも。実際にフランスに行きたくなりまし!た。

レミとビタリス老人との前半の物語。やさしいママとのわかれ、白鳥号との出会いとわかれ、旅芸一座のなかまとの死別、師であるビタリスの投獄そして,,,。毎回サスペンスを感じ、わたしのような冷たいひとでも泣きじゃくる秀逸な傑作。立体アニメーションということで手間もおかねもかかっている重厚な作品。レミの声は岡ひろみの親友役やうる星のキツネを演じた、それゆけのんたっくの菅谷政子様。舞台俳優の近藤洋介氏のビタリスは助演男優賞もの。

名作もの、というと主人公の悲劇さに主点が置かれがちですが、出崎統氏は
やはり違いました。
宇野重吉さんの語りの効果だと思うのですが、主人公の感情はとても客観的に描かれており、雰囲気としてはドライな感じ。
なのになぜか心に訴えてくるものがあって、１話見終わる毎についいろいろなことを自分のなかで反芻してしまいます。

脇のキャラもとても素敵。
タイトルどおり、ビタリスのレミへの愛情はうらやましいくらい。
レミの養父ジェロームも、映画版だと単なる悪人にしかみえなかったけれど、
このＴＶ版ではレミを売るまでの苦悩が丁寧に描かれていて、つい彼にも共感してしまいました。
うまく伝えられないけれど、めったに見られない傑作です。
