チャーはもともと歌も好きだったので、そこそこ聴いていました。
今回インスト作が出たと聞いたので、つい買ってしまいました。
充分、フュージョンファンにも受けると思います。（ちなみに僕はジャズ・ロックや
フュージョンのファンです。）

チャーのテクニック、歌心、メロディーと文句のつけようがないくらい、すばらしい
アルバムに仕上がっていますね。

その辺の、スムース・ジャズはぜんぜん勝負にならないくらい、いい作品です。特に
TV主題曲のＡ　ＦＡＩＲ　ＷＩＮＤは本当に名曲です。

この作品はドライブに最高の友になるでしょう。
そしていつまでも残る名盤です。
また、いつの日か、チャーさんかっこいいインスト作品を作ってください。

この作品を超えるロック・インストは出るのだろうか？

このアルバムがリリースされる前にテレビでレコーディング風景のドキュメン
ト番組を見ました。ジムがクリエイトしたリズムにまずベースをかぶせ、
次にレスポールでリズムギターを刻み、趣味（笑）のキーボードをさらっと
乗せ、こうして出来上がったバッキングにストラトでアドリブソロを編み

込んでいくというやり方で本作は作られました。ＣＨＡＲはレコーディング
ルームに入らず、狭いコンソールルームの中でエンジニアと談笑しながら
まるでリハーサルをするかの如く、湧き上がるインスピレーションをストラト
サウンドに変換していました。一度譜面に起こして作曲するという手法では

なく、ＣＨＡＲ自らが言うところの「出任せ」フレーズがアルバム全体に
散りばめられているので、一音一音がスピリチュアルな響きを放っています。
「あなたにとってギターとは？」の質問に「唯一、俺をおとなしくさせる物」
と答えた男の会心作！！

予備知識の全くない母親に聞かせたのですが「ねえ、この人誰？？？」と質問されて、Charのことを説明・・・「このアルバム凄くいいねえ、爽やかで気分が晴れるわ」と55歳の母が言いました。私は長年Charさんを追いつづけていますが、このように予備知識のない人にも受け入れやすい内容で、大変よいと思います。欲を言うなら、もうちょっととんがっててもいいかなー・・・不良な部分をいつものように出してくれたらって思いました。でも、母も私も大満足のCDです。Charさん、いいアルバムをありがとう~！
