アメリカンカルテットに比べ、POPでおとなしめ、という印象が強いけど、それはスタジオ盤がBelongingとMy Songしかなく、どちらも聴きやすく親しみやすいメロディが印象的な小品が並んだアルバムであるという点で共通しているからであろう。しかし、ライブではなかなかダイナミックな事をしており、それは日本公演を収録したPersonal MountainsよりもVillage Vanguard録音のこちらの方が顕著だ。特にミニマルな印象で後のChangelessにつながっていくようなProcessionalや長いインプロビゼーションを肉付けしたOasisなどにその印象が強い。おもしろいのはそんないわゆる脱線時、フリーっぽかったり南米ぽかったりするアメリカンカルテットと対照的にヨーロピアンカルテットは俄然クラシカルな雰囲気になるのである。この辺がヨーロッパの伝統でしょうか（笑）そしてこういう場面ではヤンガルバレクは手も足も出ないと言う感じ。（イアンカーの評伝によれば、というようなことを本人がこのツアーの時を回想して告白している）本当にキースの独壇場になってしまう。ある意味、「心の瞳」である。ただし、それでも適所で顔を出すガルバレクの澄んで乾いた音色は深い奥行きを与えており!、このカルテットの魅力の一つとして重要だ。Chant Of The Soil、New Dance、Sunshine Songなどこのアルバムでしか聴くことができない小品も楽しく優しくあるいは端正だ。
