このアルバムの音源は1979年の日本での二晩のライブであって、言って見れば『Nude Ants』と双子のアルバムであると言える。と、同時にヨーロピアン・カルテットの最後のアルバムでもある。このアルバムを出す事になった元は10年後の1989年に79年にやったこの演奏が素晴らしい事にアイヒャーとキースが気がついた事が原因と言われている。

ということで『Nude Ants』と重なる曲が2曲あり、聴き比べてみるとわかるのだが、録音状態もヤン・カルバレクの調子も数段こちらの方が優れている。というかこちらは最高のコンディションだ。

このメンバーでの演奏が以後無かった事が僕には残念で仕方がない。それほどこの4人の演奏は叙情的でハートがある新しいジャズだからだ。

最高のヨーロピアン・カルテットの最後を飾るにふさわしい傑作だ。

Keith Jarrett 人と音楽という本によれば、この演奏は没テイクであったという。
この時のツアーの他の演奏に比べて、この演奏が たいしたこと無かったからだというのだが、、、、

どれだけ奇跡的な演奏でも、絵画や彫刻のようには 残すことはできない。
その｢奇跡的な音楽｣が、録音されて残っていることは、
奇跡中の奇跡だ。

＃３ OASISの、keith Jarrettの咆哮、 曲の美しさ、ピアノの美しさに加え、ドラム、ベースの美しいこと｡

パレ・ダニエルソン(b)、ヨン・クリステンセン(ds)の素晴らしいこと｡
この時、｢吹けなくなってしまった」というヤン・ガルバレク(sax)は、満を持して 出現する｡
こんなアルバムを１０年もお蔵入りにしていた プロデューサー、マンフレート・アイヒャーの感性は節穴か？
というより,
じゃぁ、その時の日本公園の他の演奏は、このアルバムを 没にするほど素晴らしかった、ということ。 すこし、くやしい。
