まずこのCDで目玉になるであろう、ピアノ協奏曲。
１楽章はやや退屈しましたが、２楽章の不思議な響きに満ちていて、とてもきれいでした。
そしてなんといっても１番よかったと思う３楽章は
とにかくかっこよかったです。冒頭を聞いたらすぐにほれるでしょう。
５拍子ののりのいい曲でした！

またどこかで聞いたクリスマスのメロディをアレンジを加えた、「Die　Natali」もきれいでした。
また、トラック６に収録されている、「Commando March」のようなちょっと珍しい作品？（あまり収録されてないようです）も収録されていて、
内容と価格を考えると‘買い’だと思いますよ！

ピアノ協奏曲の第1楽章、第3楽章はプロコフィエフのようなモダニズムを発揮するが、
第2楽章ではバーバーお得意の瞑想的な雰囲気でこれがまた美しい。有名なクリスマス
ソングのメロディーを織り込んだ”クリスマスに”という作品も面白いし、前衛的な
”メディアの瞑想と踊り”にパワフルな”コマンド行進曲”とバラエティにとんだもの。
