期待の若手、吉田恭子の初の協奏曲録音。ローザンドの愛弟子である彼女が美しい演奏を披露する。共演は、これが録音デビューとなる気鋭の金聖響と、オーケストラ・アンサンブル金沢。


内容 (「CDジャーナル・レビュー」より)

若い演奏家が超有名曲を録音する場合に、完成度を重視しすぎると“優等生的”と評され、感性に頼りすぎると“恣意的で練れていない”と書かれてしまうのが通例だ。これが初の協奏曲録音となる吉田は、メンデルスゾーンの冒頭から豊かな情感を通わせつつ、積極的に自分なりの歌を奏で上げているのが好ましい。師匠のロザンド譲りともいえるあでやかなカラーに彩られた美しい音も印象的だ。第1楽章の第2主題や第2楽章で聴かせてくれる微細な変化を付けた歌い回しも、心からの表情を伴って奏されているのがよく分かる。ただし、名手の録音がゴロゴロしている曲目だけに、メンデルスゾーンの終楽章にしろ、「ツィゴイネルワイゼン」にしろ、至難なパッセージの部分はきっちりと演奏してはいるものの、もう一層の輝きと冴えがあれば、という感想を抱く人もいるだろう。注目の若手・金聖響がオーケストラから引き出している、手応えに満ちたサウンドも聴きものだ。 (満津岡信育) --- 2002年10月号

とても新鮮な野菜をくちいっぱいに頬張ったときのような、そのものの持つ､新しいエネルギーを感じます。

はつらつとしていて鮮やかな色が、目の前に広がっていきます。

ヴァイオリンの音色が良い！ということに尽きます。
他の数多くのメンコンを飽きるほど聴きましたが、私はこのメンコンが一番好きです。
金聖響について、評価は賛否両論ですが、私は良いと思います。
このアルバムを聴いて、吉田恭子を知りましたが、日本人で一番、綺麗な音を出すヴァイオリニストじゃないでしょうか？
その後、吉田恭子全てのアルバムを購入しましたが、はずれはありません。
一番新しいPASSIONは特に良い！

クラッシックの演奏家にありがちな厳しくもストイックな感じをあまり受けない。そこがいい。ソロでの歌い方が優しく音を丁寧に紡いでいく感覚。吉田恭子さん、いいですね。他のも聴いてみたいしコンサートも行きたくなりました。また、このCDではオケも良い。金さん、良い仕事をしていると思います。ただ、部屋に流しておいてぼーっと聴く。それが良いです。
