数年前、全米公開に向けて「天空の城ラピュタ」の楽曲は、再び久石譲の手によってアレンジされた。しかし、映画「The Castle in the Sky」として封切られるはずだったのが、諸般の理由でお蔵入りに。サントラも同様、表舞台に出ることはなかった。

初めて、音として出されたのは2002年春に行われたコンサート。そちらで聴かれた方はご存じだろうが、ずいぶん曲に手を加えられており、スゴイのひと言。これはファンならずとも、手に入れたい名盤になるに違いない。

録音はシアトルにて行われており、楽曲が多い中、優れた曲をチョイスして、US版サントラとしてリリースされる。期待して待って良いのではないだろうか。

子どもから大人まで、たくさんの人が天空の城ラピュタに感動したことでしょう。私もその一人。
そしてある日CD店で一目惚れして買ってしまったのがこのサントラでした。
シータやパズーのこと、海賊一家とのすったもんだにラピュタ探し・・・。
とにかく映画の一シーン一シーンが蘇ってきて、何とも言えない感動を覚えます。

普段オーケストラを聴かない人も、ラピュタの様々な場面を思い返しながら、楽しい気分で聴いてもらえると思います。
絶対おすすめ！！

ラピュタが好きで買いました。かなりアレンジしてあるので映画版とは程遠いです。しかし、音は綺麗で良い。
まぁ、正直映画版のほうが良いと思いますよ。
