厳しい残暑が通り過ぎ、涼やかなそよ風が身体の火照りを冷ましてくれる……。そんな清流の飛沫が運ぶ初秋を思わせる作品。音楽監督と編曲は、ウォーマッドジャパンでもおなじみのフェビアン・レザ・パネ。収録は、鎌倉芸術館小ホールでの一発録音だった。「蘇州夜曲」「悲しくてやりきれない」「花」「スカーボローフェア」など、名曲をおおたか流のアレンジとヴォーカルで今の時代にリメイク。たおやかな時の流れを全身に浴びながら、ゆったりと、まったりと、そして心穏やかに昼寝がしたくなる一枚。 (小林泰介) --- 2002年10月号

　七色の声を持つ彼女も、最近は和風（？）の声が中心のようです。このCDでは、彼女の「情」とともに、ぜひ声の「のび」を味わってください。
絶対に途切れない美しい声です。こんなすばらしい歌手はあまりいないと思います。編曲とそれを演奏するバックも、そんなところを感じている名演です。
　

　（でも、新しい曲ももっと聴きたかったので、星は四つです）

素晴しい!
ミニコンポの普及により、それにあわせた日本のレコーディングは、不自然な音像定位・人工的なエコー等、がっかりするものが多かった。
久しぶりに鳥肌がたつような、緊張感を感じる録音に巡り会う事ができたように思います。
イージーリスニングではなく、本格的オーディオで、じっくり聴いてほしいCDですね。
部屋を真っ暗にして、できれば、真空管アンプで・・・・・・
目を閉じると、目の前に彼女がいる。
ごく自然に、音像定位した彼女がいる。
素晴しい、ヴォーカリストの緊張感、それだけでなくこのCDを録音したスタッフにエールを送りたい!!
音響マニアにすすめる　CDですね!
あなたの再生装置の能力が一発でわかるCDだと思います。
このCDにめぐりあえてよかった。おおたか静流 さんとめぐりあえてよかった。
蘇州夜曲・ゴンドラの唄・ 花　・・・・・見事のひとことにつきる。
すばはらしい　録音に乾杯!!!

しっとりとした雰囲気の、生楽器をバックにした
ジャズヴォーカルライクなカヴァー集。
どの曲も素晴らしい出来。原曲を越えている、というか、
こちらの方がスタンダードなのではという錯覚を覚えてしまった。
政治色やメッセージ性などといった原曲のイメージを良い意味でばっさり
切り捨て、美しく伸びのあるフィメール・ヴォーカルを聴かせることに
主眼を置いたのは大正解。オリジナル作品以上のオリジナリティが
光る名作。「悲しくてやりきれない」けど、聴いてるこちらは満足しました。
