入っていなさそうなジャケット・・・。　これが知らないアーティストだったら「買ったら失敗するだろうな」という気持ちになりそうです。しかも着ているシャツが「The Damned」。　・・・たまらなく好きです。　基本的な内容は彼がＡ＆Ｍレコードから出した１stと２ndアルバムを１枚のＣＤに詰め込んだものです。若干未収録となった曲もありますが、レコードでしか聞けなかったこの２枚のアルバムについて、１０年以上ＣＤ化を待っていたファンが大勢いるのを考えれば、ただ「ありがとう」と言いたい。全英No.1となったHappy TalkもやっとＣＤで聞けます。エレ・ポップの最重要盤と言える本作を聞けば、ダムドのギタリストとしてのキャプテンではなく、ソロとしての彼のファンが多いのも納得できるはず。　ダムドのファンとして本作を見た場合、同時期のダムドの５枚目のアルバムと聞き比べることによって、「ダムドテイスト」が明確に認識でき、新たな魅力が見つけられるはずで、ダムドファンにも超おすすめの一枚。　迷わず買うべし。

元ダムドのベーシスト。
パンクのパロディーのようなグループだったダムド解散後、おふざけ全開の"Women and Captains First"を引っさげてソロ登場。
このベスト盤はジャケットもCDもおふざけいっぱいのデザインながら、内容は今聞いても全く古さを感じない極上のポップス！
とても貴重なCDのひとつです。

1982年にHappy Talkという奇妙な曲がいきなりイギリスでトップになって驚いたが、そのほかにもGlad It's All Overなど美しいヒット曲もある。
このキャプテンセンシブルのＣＤを入手するのに１０年以上（多分２０年近く）かかった。イギリスでも散々探したが結局見つからずじまい。

正直ここまでムキになる必要があるのかどうか非常に考えてしまうが、つまりはそれだけ希少価値が高いものであるということだ。
このＣＤは今年（２００３年）発売されたものらしく、これが多分“最後の”チャンスではないだろうか。Happy Talkはまさにイギリス人ごのみで、８０年代前半のイギりスの音楽シーンを非常によく体現していて楽しい一枚
