ジャケットからして、前作の「ちょっとセクシーなアイドル」のイメージとまるで違う。今はどちらかというと「セックスアピール全開のディーヴァ」という感じに近いです。もちろん、曲の内容です。以前とのギャップには驚きます。

特に歌詞は過激さが増しています。クリスティナーが主張し続けているのは、「強さ」！特に、女性の、自分の強さ。

これが安っぽくないんです。デビューした年にグラミー賞の新人賞をとったクリスティーナ、本当に素晴らしい、歌唱力があります。透き通った声、そしてパワフル。CDからも充分伝わってくるし、来日ライブで披露した歌声には圧倒されました。

おすすめの曲は、シングルカットされた 4.Fighter と 16.Dirrty。個人的にはアップテンポの曲が好きですが、バラードも満載です。リル・キム、アリーシャ・キーズ、レッドマン等、豪華アーティストも参加していて、計20曲の多さ。買って損はしないと思います！

私は何かのインタビューでアギレラがこう言っていたのを聞いたことがあります。
「1stアルバムは自分じゃない。レコード会社に無理やり決められたイメージでやっていた音楽。でも2ndで私は変わったの」みたいな発言なんですが…。
アギレラが今行っているワールドツアーでもデビュー曲などを歌うことはあまりないです。
でも、このアルバムに入っている歌はニューアルバムに入っている曲の時間を削ってでも歌う。アギレラにはこのアルバムに深い思いを抱いているのではないでしょうか？
私はいいんです。何を言われようと、アギレラが自分で良いと思う歌を歌ってくれれば、それでいいんです。

前作のシングルカット曲などを聴いていると、彼女の歌の才能の凄さには驚きましたが楽曲そのものはいかにもはやりのアイドルと思わせるものだったのでアルバムを買うまでにはいたりませんでした。しかしこのアルバムは楽曲の質の高さや歌唱力はもとより表現の幅がさらに広がった感じがして個人的にとても好きなアルバムです。4曲目や12曲目などの曲はバンドサウンドやユニークな打ち込みがとても新鮮ですし14曲目や18曲目は彼女の歌声が曲をとても壮大なものにしていると思います。最近、肌の露出度やビデオで何かと騒がれているようですが、そちらに注目してしまうのではなく、アーティストとしての彼女をもっと見てほしいと思います。このアルバムはそれに値する素晴らしいアルバムだと思います。
