全てを捨てて愛のみに生きようとしたひとりの女ジャンヌ
一途でひたむきでといえば聞こえはいいのですが
家族の立場っていうか・・
子供からすれば、なんという危険な母親。
恥も外聞もなく欲望のまま突っ走る。

夫は身も心もズタズタですよね・・・。
ラストで、さらに放心状態になるような
妻のハンドバックの中にあったとある記事。
哀しい・・・（夫が）

驚くほどの内容ではないストーリーをエマニュエル・ベアールが
演じると深みが増すように思える。「愛の地獄」でもそうだったけど
こういう役柄は彼女のイメージにハマりすぎていて面白みがないなー
ファンなら彼女が観れるだけで嬉しいけど
もっとちがった役柄のエマニュエル・ベアールを観てみたい。

この映画は、何故か何度も観てしまうのでス。実際、4~5回観た。エマニュエル・ベアール扮する主人公の気持ちを最後まで追いつづけると、いつの間にやら映画が終わっているからです。エマニュエル・ベアールの、あの美しい顔の下に潜む、”フランスの女”としてのその情熱が例え、その気持ちが理解できなくとも、心を捉えて離さないのです。私は、この映画がハッピー・エンドだとは思えなかった。でも最後のシーンを思い浮かべるといつも、ハッピー・エンドだったのかもしれない、とも思う。エマニュエル・ベアールははまり役だ。妖婦のようでなにより女性であり、強い意志をたたえたあの唇は、”フランスの女”以外何者でもないのだと想う。

　ただ一人の男性を愛した。そのために彼女は自分の全てを捧げた。自分の真実を追って、遂に彼女は息絶えた。
　30歳になる前のベアールが、観るものに有無を言わせぬ圧倒的な演技を見せ付けて、ヴァルニエ監督が描き出すフランスの女を見事に演じきった。

　実生活でもパートナーであるオートイユとの共演はこの作品以前にも数々こなしてきたベアールだったが、この映画での凄まじいまでの大熱演は、名優の彼も適わずだった。

　ラスト近くで、彼女が白いドレスを身にまとって、夏の白い太陽の光の中に吸い込まれていきそうなシーンでは、まさに彼女演じるヒロインが、ただ真実の愛のみを追っていることがよく伝わってきた。
