SING LIKE TALKINGの佐藤竹善の2年半ぶりのソロ・シングルは、以前から親交の深いSkoop On Somebodyの8枚目のシングル曲をカヴァー。竹善自身一ファンとして何百回も聴くほど惚れ込んでいた歌だという。“夜空に落ちそうになった”などロマンティックな歌詞がちりばめられた作品で、竹善はトロピカル風な軽やかなリズム主体のシンプルなアレンジにまとめ、淡々としたメロディ・ラインに軽いR&Bテイストのヴォーカルでしっとり歌い上げている。Skoop On Somebodyの3人がソフトなコーラスでバック・アップ。 (鈴木勝生) --- 2002年09月号

オリジナルは、会うに会えない状況と切ない胸のうちが「どうしようもないよね、どうしようもないんだよね」と歌われるSkoopの名曲。
熱を持ったオリジナルとは全く別物、竹善流の透明感あふれる世界で展開されるもうひとつのamanogawa。

竹善は、もともとこの曲が大好きでカラオケで歌いまくった上で満を持してカバーしたとか何とか。もちろんこの曲にもSkoopは参加しており、最後のサビのデュエットも、また聞きどころ。
アルバムジャケットの写真がまたイイ。誰が撮影したかはご自分でネットで探して楽しんでみてください。

すばらしい、の一言です。
元々、10年位前からSing Likeのファンであり、去年からSkoopの
ファンになった私にとってはこの上ない作品。
Skoopの名曲を佐藤竹善が歌いあげ、コーラスワークでSkoopが存在感を
出していて、非常に満足です。
Skoopを知っていてSing Likeを知らない人も、Sing Likeを知っていて
Skoopを知らない人がいたらまずはこのシングルをお勧めしたい。

あの綺麗な声と歌唱力は日本一ですね。その底知れない実力は今後も楽しみです。
